We at Digital Promise are excited to announce our annual Education Innovation Clusters Convening to be held in Chicago, August 11-12. This year, the convening will be co-hosted by LEAP Innovations and 1871. We will also be joined by our partners at the U.S. Department of Education.

Education Innovation Clusters bring together a range of education stakeholders in a given region, including teachers and administrators, ed-tech developers, investors, funders, policymakers, researchers, and community organizations. These partners collaborate across traditional silos to foster breakthrough learning practices and bring innovative digital tools to bear on education’s most pressing challenges.

The convening in Chicago will bring together cluster organizations representing urban, suburban, and rural communities from around the country. Panels, working sessions, and discussions will cover a mix of cluster theory and practice, including:

  • Funding and operations
  • Testbeds and other partnerships
  • Research theory and practice
  • Using efficacy platforms for product validation
  • Frameworks for collaborating with other clusters

For more information about the convening or other aspects of the Education Innovation Cluster work please email clusters@digitalpromise.org. We encourage you to attend if you are:

  • involved with an existing Education Innovation Cluster;
  • engaged in cluster-type work and interested in connecting with like-minded organizations in your area; or
  • interested in starting a cluster in your region
