Over the past year Digital Promise has been working with the Education team at Apple, Inc. to update the Challenge Based Learning framework and to assume management of the community and resources.

Digital Promise is an independent, bipartisan nonprofit, authorized by Congress in 2008 as the National Center for Research in Advanced Information and Digital Technologies through Section 802 of the Higher Education Opportunity Act of the Higher Education Opportunity Act, signed into law by President George W. Bush.

Digital Promise is a perfect place for Challenge Based Learning as it is now home to a number of the original development team including Karen Cator, Marco Torres and Mark Nichols.

Be on the look out for some exciting changes.

  • I would like to make contact with
Marco Torres. We are both Apple
Distinguished Educators. I’m working on adding a Micro-Credential
Digital Badging Program to our CalRTA Educational Foundation where I serve as
VP. It looks like CBL and Digital Promise would be a good fit for our support.

me with regard to our CalRlTA
