Classroom Practice
Bringing research-backed insights into the classroom
Turning Research into Daily Classroom Practice
Research, classroom practice, and learning technology each hold a piece of the answer to education’s biggest challenges. Digital Promise actively brings them together—turning 15 years of district collaboration and learning science into practical, daily strategies schools can actually use to help students thrive.
Elevating Educator Expertise and Agency
Our frameworks and instructional strategies help educators keep their teaching grounded in current research while honoring the human relationships at the heart of every classroom. We equip teachers and district leaders with practical, evidence-backed teaching strategies, instructional coaching models, and more, to help educators support student learning.

Deeper Discussions in World History
Digital Promise, the University of Pennsylvania GSE, and the OER Project collaborated with history educators across eight states to create Deeper Discussions in World History. This open-access suite offers discussion-based lessons and professional development modules that make room for rich, critical historical inquiry without overloading packed curricula. Integrated into the free World History Project curriculum, these evidence-backed tools help over 100,000 educators foster engaged, reflective learners.
Mapping, Clarifying, and Communicating Key Ideas about Collaborative Learning (MC²)
The MC² project brings together researchers and practitioners to co-develop evidence-based resources to support collaborative learning in K-12 classrooms. By connecting current research with classroom practice, we are working to ensure that the strategies teachers use are grounded in research that has been proven to work.
