Dual Language Immersion classrooms: Clear Creek students can apply for a dual language immersion program, also referred to as two-way immersion. It is an educational model in which both native English speakers and native speakers of another language receive instruction together in both languages to promote second language acquisition, high academic achievement, and cross-cultural understanding for all students. Language learning takes place primarily through content instruction. Linguistic proficiency in both languages occurs as students develop their knowledge of subject matter through performing academic tasks.
Early College High Schools: Clear Creek provides low-income youth, first-generation college goers, English language learners, students of color, and other young people who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education the opportunity to simultaneously earn a high school diploma and an Associate Degree that transfers as credit towards a bachelor’s degree at no cost.
Communities in Schools Initiative: Clear Creek works with Communities in Schools Bay Area (CIA-BA) to create communities of support for individual campuses that align with district vision, campus need, and the six areas CIS-BA has identified as critical to student empowerment: counseling and supportive guidance, health and human services, parental and family involvement, pre-employment and employment, enrichment, and educational enhancement.
