Teachers can ask students to provide suggestions for changes for future discussions as well as identifying strategies that worked well. The questions can be posed to the entire group or individually through written feedback
After reading your student feedback, make sure you address or incorporate their feedback into the next discussion. You should be transparent with your students about how you’re incorporating their feedback. This could look like displaying a table on the smartboard like the one below.

Change the format of everyone sitting in one big circle.
This setup cannot be changed during Socratic circles, but we can alternate between other discussion formats with different seating arrangements in the future.

As the facilitator, it’s my job to make sure students have the space to share, but I can definitely provide my opinion if it’ll be helpful to the conversation.
