User Research Interview Template
Overview
Before your district can design a solution, your team must first understand the problem by gathering information from your community members, including students and families, potential users, and others who work in the district. Use this template to organize interview data and generate insights to help you design the best solution possible. It is important to listen deeply to understand any implicit or overt biases in the current processes and data.

- Do you have stakeholders who represent all parts of your population, especially those from historically and systematically excluded communities?
- Do your interviewers represent those same populations?
Compile insights gained from interviews with Instructional Staff, Leadership and Community Members.
Create empathy maps for each stakeholder group from insights showing how they think, feel, hear, say, do and pain points experienced.
Create as-is experience maps for each stakeholder group map stages of their experience.
