Using Stop-Motion to Illustrate Moon Cycles in Science Class

April 4, 2016 | By

Stop-motion video is a great tool for helping interactively show changes. This science class from Evanston, Ill. used stop-motion to study the different phases of the moon. Working in groups, students divided up different tasks and created their own videos to illustrate how the moon changes throughout its cycle.

“The project was really fun because you definitely learned more than just looking at a textbook. It definitely makes me look at the moon more now!” –Rowan, King Arts student
