This 7th grade science class walked down to the beach for a powerful field trip experience. Just down the road from Lokelani Intermediate School is the Ko’ie’ie Fishpond. Students spent an afternoon at the pond learning about its cultural significance, modeling the surrounding ecosystem and environmental impact, and working together to help restore the pond.
