Sixth and seventh graders at Sabin Middle School in Colorado Springs tackled a familiar challenge: how might we come up with a way to store headphones that prevents them from getting tangled? Many of us can relate to this common annoyance, which can become even more of a burden in a school that needs to store large quantities of headphones. Framing this design challenge around a familiar problem helps students relate to the challenge at hand and allows them to come up with innovative solutions.
