In 2018, Digital Promise worked with educators, thought leaders, researchers, and 12 school districts to identify the challenges schools and communities face in supporting equitable real world learning opportunities for students. The result of this work are tools that support districts in developing a real world learning strategy and help classroom teachers map ways to implement real world learning.
In December of 2019, Digital Promise launched a cohort of leaders from schools and education organizations across the country to take a deep dive into the partnerships and strategies needed to advance this work, both in and out of school. This playbook compiles nuts-and-bolts examples of programs and initiatives that cohort members have implemented in their schools and communities. You can use them as models or inspiration for your own real world learning initiatives.
