Giulio Rocco wrote in his submission to the 2014 Digital Innovation in Learning Awards, “The One World program is a creative and experiential experience. Students are given the opportunity to create art that can have real social impact on both a local, and global community, while also empowering themselves and others with their own music. A One World classroom, through modern technology and online connectivity, becomes a microcosm of our global community, where student voices can be heard without borders…Through our connection with Community Education Service Kenya, we have been able raise money for student scholarships in Kenya via offline/online “coffee houses” as well as through donations through songs online with bandcamp.”
