Students in Maria Conte’s class at St. Thomas’s participate in iEARN’s Finding Solutions to Hunger Project, which gives them the opportunity to research and discuss the root causes of hunger and poverty and take meaningful actions to help create a more just and sustainable world. Through the project, students collaborate with peers worldwide to become problem solvers in working to end hunger. They create service-learning projects to educate their school/community about the issue of hunger and how people can effect change. Students also document their project and share it online.
