Students in Deanne McBeath’s classroom at the Village Charter School and Mary Brownell’s class at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy participated in iEARN’s Finding Solutions to Hunger Project. Students began the study of hunger and food justice by examining their own eating patterns. They kept food diaries, and compared the diaries with each other and with students around the world, to understand how different cultures eat different types of foods and consume different amounts of calories and nutrients. Students also documented their project through video and digital photography and shared it online.
