Learning and Employment Record Certifications – Digital Promise

Learning and Employment Record Certifications

Product Certifications Certified Products

Digital Promise offers two certifications for learning and employment record (LER) technologies: LER Inclusive Design and Learners’ Journey LER Technology. Digital Promise has verified that the following products have met the certification criteria described below. These products submitted applications that underwent a rigorous assessment process to certify that they have fulfilled all criteria. Congratulations to all products that have earned one of these certifications!

LER Inclusive Design

To earn this certification, edtech product teams must submit artifacts, or evidence, to demonstrate that:

  1. The LER technology enables end users to share evidence of their skills and competencies acquired through various jobs and experiences over time, in addition to work history.
  2. The LER technology enables end users to demonstrate learning progress over time, not just one point in time.
  3. The LER technology provides end users with control over how their information is presented and shared.
  4. The LER technology provides end users with resources and support with their questions and concerns about the tool.
  5. The LER technology prioritizes lifelong access and ease of use.

Learners’ Journey LER Technology

To earn this certification, edtech product teams must submit artifacts, or evidence, to demonstrate that:

  1. The LER technology enables users to find and connect with supports.
  2. The LER technology enables users to connect to opportunities.
  3. The LER technology provides opportunities for users to indicate self-asserted skills and share project deliverables.
  4. The LER technology centers users’ unique personas and language needs.

Neither certification is an endorsement of products or their efficacy. These certifications intend to help learners and workers narrow their options as they select an LER technology to use.
