Coaches and Storytellers Work Best Together–Especially When They’re the Same Person!

Laudan Kirk is in a unique position: she is both a coach at one school and a storyteller for three schools across West Ada School District. While these two roles are typically filled by two individuals at each school, Laudan has quickly learned how to best leverage her dual role to make sure that coaching and storytelling work together.

Introducing new technology into a school isn’t just about using apps and working with digital tools. Technology allows students to explore bigger problems, find challenges to solve, and try new things. Coaches can help teachers facilitate this in their classroom and be there for support, and storytellers are there to help capture these new learning opportunities.
