During Production, you film your story or capture images to share your perspective! Use your production plan as a guide to capture each element, piece by piece, always looking at how it fits into the larger puzzle. For scripted video projects, you should pre-visualize how your set should be organized, bring all of your planned elements together, and let the action unfold.
At the same time, you might have ideas during Production that you didn’t anticipate during Pre-Production. That’s great! Production is also a time to experiment and try different things on camera so you have as many options as possible when you begin editing.
If you’ve created an effective production plan (see “Create a Production Plan“), you should have a relatively smooth production phase.
Capturing audio is as important as recording video but many times audio is overlooked in the planning.
