Why should I earn a micro-credential?

Micro-credentials offered through Digital Promise:
  • Are focused on verifying a specific skill or competency
  • Are designed using a research-based, competency-based framework
  • Require demonstration through evidence/artifacts rather than completion-based
  • Have an open and transparent rubric so earners know how to achieve the award
Micro-credentials enable you to make the skills you have gained throughout your life visible to others. Because they are digital, you can share your achievements with anyone at any time. Learners of all ages have found that micro-credentials can help them pursue academic, career, and personal goals.
