The purpose of the YouthMADE Festival is to showcase the voices and work of youth makers, activists, artists, designers, and social entrepreneurs from all over the world. The YouthMADE Festival is designed to be an inclusive platform where educators, advocates, organizations, and students who can host and join events from anywhere in the world, in any timezone. The YouthMADE Festival will showcase youth creators and change makers who are ages 5-24. For educators and advocates submitting content on behalf of students under age 18, please be sure your content or event is in compliance with your school, district, or educational institution’s media release policies.
You can host any kind of event that is accessible to you and your audiences. You can host a virtual event, in-person, or hybrid event at your school or in your community. Be sure to register your event so we can add it to the directory. Use the hashtag #YouthMADE to to share your event on social media and to connect with other YouthMADE Festival participants.
You may attend any of the public events added to the YouthMADE Festival directory. You can also share other kinds of content to the directory, such as blogs, videos, virtual galleries, and more! Your content can be new or previously published. Be sure to register the content so we can add it to the public YouthMADE Festival directory. Use the hashtag #YouthMADE on social media to connect with other YouthMADE Festival participants.
In-school events do not need to be open to the public. We still encourage you to register your event so we can contact you about the YouthMADE Festival Community Awards and mention your event alongside other events on the directory. Use the hashtag #YouthMADE to to share highlights from the assembly on social media and to connect with other YouthMADE Festival participants.
You can join the YouthMADE Festival from all over the world and in any time zone. When you register an event, you have the option to include the date, time, and time zone that your event is taking place.
We invite and encourage participants to host sessions and content in any language. We will also provide supporting materials and resources in English that can be easily edited for translation.
The YouthMADE Festival Community Awards are community-powered awards given to student presenters at the YouthMADE Festival. After you register an event for the YouthMADE Festival Community Awards, we will send you a form to share with the audience at your event. The audience shares kudos on the form and we use their feedback to generate the YouthMADE Festival Community Awards.
