With each platform we’ve included a tutorial for using the platform, a link to their accessibility resources, and a link to their terms of service so you can determine if the platform is appropriate for the students involved.

Facebook Live
Use Facebook Live to broadcast live video. Individual Facebook users may host a livestream for their Facebook Friends, but livestreams hosted by a Facebook Page must be streamed to a public audience. Facebook is free to use and individuals must be at least 13 years old before they can create an account. (The age limit may be higher in some jurisdictions.) Flip
Use Flip to create private groups where members can create and share videos. This option is best suited for event hosts who want to create an asynchronous virtual event that is only accessible to invited users. Flip is free to use. Flip Tutorial Accessibility Terms of Use
Use Instagram Live to broadcast live video. Instagram Live can be viewed by users in the app and through the web. Your existing privacy settings will determine who can view your Instagram Live. Instagram is free to use, but individuals must be at least 13 years old before they can create an account. (This age limit may be higher in some jurisdictions.) Use Padlet for asynchronous interactions, such as posting comments, links, and videos. This option is best suited for event hosts who want to create an asynchronous virtual event that is only accessible to invited users.
