Pashupati Shah

Pashupati Shah is a grade 11 geometry teacher at Wooddale High School in Memphis, Tennessee.

One news changed the trajectory of Pashupati’s life. Pashupati was working in research when he was surprised by the news that US students are falling behind the students of other nations in Math. As Pashupati started tutoring high school students and supporting teachers with in-class tutoring, eventually he started to find out that they were performing below their grade level. Pashupati found that many of them didn’t know the demands, standards, and curriculum, and there were gaps in understanding the everyday lessons and tasks. It was at this moment that Pashupati decided to change the lives of these students by becoming a Math teacher!
