Yale RULER Program: We expanded implementation of social-emotional education and increased number of guidance counselors, school psychologists and other staff to work with students and families struggling with mental health.
Data Analytics: We established a team to examine trends in data to promote equitable education. More students of color are accessing enrichment and high level college courses. This has led to massive increases in minority students taking Advance Placement and college credit courses.
Family Resource Center and PreK Program: We provide wrap-around services to families in need (clothing drives, food, translators, books, transportation, etc). Some other big examples are before school-care and after school-care at massively reduced rates. We donate rent free, 6 classrooms in our elementary school so our families can access pre-k in the schools they know and love. We recently opened a food pantry in partnership with Stop N Shop. All class supply lists for our elementary school children are supplemented for families by our budget.
