Students: Apply for $500 to Expand or Amplify Your Project

The YouthMADE Festival is a global celebration of youth creativity and innovation from May 5-18, 2025. Students ages 5-24, educators, and advocates are invited to showcase student-led projects during the Festival by hosting live in-person or virtual events, and sharing content featuring student-led work.

We are excited to announce that students participating in the YouthMADE Festival can now apply for a $500 Amplify Grant to expand and amplify their work. Applications will be accepted through Sunday, April 13.

Step 1: Add an event or content to the YouthMADE Festival Directory by April 27
Students who add an event or content to the 2025 YouthMADE Festival Directory by April 27 are eligible to apply for an Amplify Grant. If the student is under age 18, their educator, mentor, or adult caretaker must register their YouthMADE Festival event or content on the YouthMADE Festival Directory.

Participants have complete control over what kind of event or content to submit. Below are common ways people have showcased and celebrated student work at previous festivals:

• Virtual panel discussion, hosted live
• Pre-recorded talk or demonstration
• Photo gallery/blog documenting a project
• An in-school or community gathering

Step 2: Complete the application form by April 13
Students can apply for a $500 Amplify Grant using the application form. Please note that students under age 18 will need to enter the contact information of an educator at their school or educational institution on their application.

These two steps can be completed in either order. For ease in determining eligibility, please use the same email address to submit to the YouthMADE Festival directory and to apply for an Amplify Grant.

Amplify Grant funding can be used for a wide-range of purchases and activities including but not limited to:

• Supplies/materials to expand or complete projects
• Licenses, tools, and equipment to document/share projects
• Costs related to hosting a YouthMADE Festival event
• Costs related to presenting projects at conferences
• Costs of training or workshops related to projects.

We encourage applicants to review the full terms and scoring rubric to ensure you can create a strong application. Students and educators can apply using the Amplify Grant application form.
