The initiative’s success at Austin Middle School relied on the interplay of multiple domains. To implement the learning lab teacher role and introduce new technology tools, Austin Middle School’s leadership engaged in Leadership for Digital Transformation and prioritized Consistent Access to Devices and Technology. Leaders fostered an innovative culture that empowered teachers to experiment with new technologies.
The leadership team also collaborated with Verizon Innovative Learning Schools to provide all students access to cutting-edge technologies, such as virtual reality headsets, as well as the necessary infrastructure, including sufficient internet bandwidth, to support these tools effectively.
