Developing a long-term, future-ready strategic plan: The district has adopted the Future Ready framework, and has formed digital learning teams, personalized professional learning, prioritized community involvement, and created computer science and STEM pathways in its strategic plan.
Improving assessment literacy among educators: Partnering with five other school districts, BWRSD provides professional development for teachers around establishing clear learning targets and success criteria, and providing explicit and timely feedback for students.
Partnering with the community to provide real-world learning experiences: Collaborating with the Easy Bay Chamber of Commerce, the district developed an intensive internship program where students receive real-world work experience in the community.
