Learn from this district about:
Implementing a K-5 dual-language program: Elementary students learn to speak, read, and write in Mandarin, Spanish, and English in a dual-language immersion program.
Launching an elementary computer science magnet school program: Partnering with Code to the Future, the district transformed one of its elementary schools to a computer science magnet school, and hosts events like “Minecraft Day” to get the community involved. Coding is currently preK-8 and will be districtwide by 2020.
Exposing high school students to professional opportunities: The district leveraged a partnership to launch three CISCO Networking Academies, which provide high school students the opportunity to study the latest networking, security, and cloud technologies and earn industry certifications recognized by employers worldwide. The district also started a partnership with Microsoft.
