Creating and implementing a system of personalized learning in a large district: Fulton County Public Schools has developed a district-wide personalized learning model to help teachers customize learning to individual students’ needs, skills, and interests and empowers students to learn at a pace that is right for them.

Using technology for immediate feedback on student learning: Through a partnership with the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools initiative, teachers are able to use tools to help them assess various student needs to provide immediate feedback on student learning for immediate adjustment.

Establishing the “Achievement Zone” to support underserved students: Students in the district’s “Achievement Zone,”  a turnaround zone in the district, will benefit from research-based strategies that have proved successful in other turnaround environments across the nation.
