Howard-Suamico School District

Providing meaningful professional development opportunities to teachers: Howard-Suamico School District has established a job-embedded professional development model that leverages over 100 peer coach-trained teachers as well as an on-site technology integration specialist in all eight schools. The Microsoft Peer Coaching Program was used to train and provide our coaches with the skills and strategies to work collaboratively with their colleagues.

Providing devices to all students: Every student in grades 3-12 has either a laptop or iPad, through which the district delivers course­work digitally, using proprietary online texts and interactive tools as well as digital materials developed in-house by faculty.

Engaging the community in the district’s digital transformation through an online hub: The support site provides information regarding device deployment and distribution, proper care and maintenance, as well as information to ensure safe and ethical responsibilities for each group of stakeholders in a one-to-one computing model.
