Learn from this district about:

Diversifying school choices for students: To ensure students get access to learning opportunities that meet their needs, the district offers different school choices and uses innovative approaches to education. Choice schools and programs are often housed within an existing school or on the same campus as another school.

Funding innovative programs at school sites: Through a partnership with Lake Washington Schools Foundation and other community partnerships, the district has established a District Innovation Program and Fund that makes grant money available to schools to implement innovative ideas.

Creating a district equity team: The purpose of the district equity team is to enhance and improve the district’s efforts to ensure academic success for all students by closing opportunity gaps for students and providing equitable and inclusive working and learning environments for all students, families, staff, and communities.
