McComb School District (MS)

Participation in renowned programs and initiatives: Ongoing research and participation in nationally and internationally renowned organizations and programs fuels the policies and decision-making processes in the McComb School District. These opportunities afford district- and building-level administrative teams the opportunity to participate in National Center for Education and Economy’s (NCEE) Executive Development Program (formerly NISL EDP), Systems Benchmarking Design, and Teaching for Effective Learning to advocate for buy-in to transform systems. The district also participates in ongoing initiatives with iNacol, Competency Works, Edsurge, Edcircuit, and Education Reimagined.

Supporting students’ social emotional and mental health: The district prioritizes student-centered learning and leverages Consistency Management and Cooperative Discipline (CMCD) to create an equitable culture and environment that supports the social-emotional learning of their scholars.
