Providing non-traditional days of instruction: On snow days, students log into the district’s learning management system from their home computers to complete designated lessons, tailored to each student, based on where they need to improve.
Launching a one-to-one district digital plan: Owsley County has a plan for anytime, anywhere learning, where starting in the 2015-2016 school year, all students will have access to a device.
Leveraging partnerships with local universities: The district works with several local colleges, including Hazard Technical and Community College, the University of Pikeville, and Morehead State University, to offer dual-credit courses to students at Owsley County High School.
