Learn from this district about:

Using a research-based model to build teacher capacity: Through a multi-tiered approach focused on blended learning, flexible learning environments, a balanced approach of purposeful technology integration, and meaningful feedback to support student-centered learning opportunities, the Voyager program is empowering educators and transforming teaching and learning. The Voyager Program has proven successful through the expansion of school sites participating in the program, which is replicable and scalable for any school or district.

Modernizing learning environments to prepare students for the future: The district is expanding their dual-immersion model to include Mandarin and STEM pathways to reach historically underrepresented populations, including girls and English language learners. They are exploring the impact that future-focused learning environments have on students in general education and special education classrooms through an action-research initiative.

Creating future-focused K-12 pathways: The district starts at the core of this work, which is an understanding of self and career learning, beginning in the elementary level. The district offers course offerings and pathways in middle school before refining curriculum to create future-focused high school pathways that prepare students for college, career, and life.
