Learn from this district about:

Supporting students with their career goals through a personalized learning program: R-Gen is a personalized learning program, committed to working towards evolving education. R-Gen helps students with the age-old dilemma, “What should I do with my life?” Through project-based learning, an educational curriculum, and an internship program, students get insight into the vast scope of careers and possibilities specific to their interests and learning style. R-Gen offers career pathway electives, dual credit options, transitional math, and developmental reading and writing.

Providing contextual learning opportunities through interdisciplinary projects: Students experience courses where they are building, creating, and/or selling something that would last beyond their high school experience. Students learn the mathematical, business, and construction skills needed to perform the daily building tasks.

Offering competency-based math education: Math instruction in this district is both project-based and self-directed. Some students take more time to master concepts and skills, and competency-based education gives students the flexibility and support to ensure they are college and career ready.
