Learn from this district about:

Innovate learning environment: All Suffern students have the choice to actively explore their personal passions for the betterment of themselves and their community. We will provide innovative instruction, a versatile framework, and educational resources to develop skills and obtain knowledge for students to pursue their passions and advance towards their future goals.

Integration and use of technology: Suffern set a course where students and teachers will enjoy and succeed in a technology-enriched environment, providing an opportunity to develop 21st century skills and a love of learning. We have dedicated tremendous resources to ensure that the district is a 1:1 district where all of its students have access to online resources at school and at home.

Commitment to promoting equity: Suffern hired a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Director who is responsible for ensuring that the district is addressing the challenges of a wide variety of students, including our English Language Learner Program. Their responsibilities include providing all teachers with the skills necessary to address the needs of all students and families and ensuring a large percentage of new staff is diverse and bilingual. Our commitment to providing students with role models who they can relate to has improved the culture and climate in the district.
