Learn from this district about:

Fostering community engagement: Munford Schools, part of Talladega County Schools (TCS), partners with the National Forest Service, Jacksonville State University, and numerous environmental and governmental organizations to take learning outdoors.

Providing a personal learning device to students: TCS  provides 7,800 students with access to MacBook Pros, Chromebooks, and iPads to research, explore, create, and produce.

Providing teacher development programs: The district implemented professional training programs such as the 21st Century Teacher Leader Initiative and the “Expert Down the Hall,” in which teachers are focused on the SAMR model and peer-to-peer collaboration.

Prioritizing project-based learning: The district uses project-based learning as the primary methodology to promote authentic student-driven learning across the district.
