The Resource Library is organized into six topics seen in the filters on the right, which correspond to the module topics in this framework. We’ve also recommended a few keyword searches for each category below. This library compiles resources we and others in the education network space have found helpful in our equity journeys, but it’s neither definitive nor exhaustive. We hope you’ll share additional resources and ideas here.
General – Resources in this section include those dealing with racial equity and DEI work at the personal and organizational level. We’ve listed tools and articles as well as organizations and leaders. Topics addressed (which you can search with keywords) include: vocabulary, norms, white privilege, culture survey, facilitation, equity audit.
Understanding Your Community – Resources here address equity-centered community engagement, research, and mapping. Keyword searches you might find useful include: community asset mapping, data collection, demographics, surveys, needs assessment, research, and empathy interview.
Network Health – This section covers network composition, leadership, and health from an equity lens. Many resources apply to organizational culture, staff, and leadership as well. Key topic searches include: community voice, collective impact, network weaving, network impact, culture, recruitment, diversity.
Programs and Initiatives – This section includes resources on equitable program design and development, including evaluation and partnership-building. Key topics to search include: Inclusive Innovation, R&D, evaluation, data, culturally responsive, schools, anti-racist, design, and racial equity impact assessment.
Communications – Resources in this topic address key, searchable topics such as: inclusive language, accessibility, design, storytelling, implicit bias, asset framing, messaging, and marketing.
Events – This section includes resources on a range of event planning and execution elements with an equity and inclusion focus. Useful searches include: facilitation, agreements, culture, code of conduct, accessibility, diversity, feedback, checklist, brave space.
