Register for the webinar

Panelists and speakers include:

  • Katherine McNeill, Bryk Faculty Fellow and Professor of Science Education, Boston College
  • James Ryan, Executive Director, OpenSciEd
  • Tricia Shelton, Chief Learning Officer, National Science Teaching Association
  • Holly Sullivan, Secondary Science Content Specialist, Richland School District 2 (Columbia, SC)

With OpenSciEd adoption and implementation on the rise, the OpenSciEd Research Community team at Digital Promise set out to identify OpenSciEd practitioners’ most urgent needs, as well as priority research questions and supports related to these needs.

The forthcoming report synthesizes teachers’ and school/district leaders’ insights gathered from surveys and interviews. The analysis identifies research gaps and areas for development and innovation that can support districts with deep, sustained adoption and teachers with high-quality, equitable curriculum enactment. The findings also point to potential directions for systems change that could help promote sustainability and continual improvement of science education systems.
