Monika Moorman is a grade 4 teacher at Central Park Elementary in Plantation, Florida.
Monika is currently a 4th grade teacher at a public school in south Florida. She has been an educator for nearly twenty years in grades ranging from first grade to adult education in both general and gifted settings. She is a proud NBCT in early and middle childhood literacy, but her interests go beyond the realm of literacy. She is a STEM, computer science and sustainability enthusiast, a robotics coach, a Newsela Fellow, and a Solar System Ambassador, to name a few of her current interests and engagements. Her mission as an educator is to ensure that all of her students maintain a lifelong curiosity about the world around them.
