Deblina Pakhira – Digital Promise

Deblina Pakhira

“There are multiple ways to learn, so I don’t think there is only one way I learn, but I learn best by doing. Hands-on experiences make learning more meaningful and fun for me.”

Deblina Pakhira is a Research Manager at Digital Promise. She has more than 10 years of research, teaching, evaluation, and project/program management experience in the field of chemistry and education, working with academia and nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and India. Deblina has been pursuing her passion for education technology by working on various products and classroom interventions in formal and informal learning environments. Her academic research and evaluation work focused on analyzing departmental policy and regulations, research-based best practices in classrooms including blended learning, and early adoption of technology in classrooms. Through her work she strives to bridge the gap between research and practice, and to empower the next generation to become actively engaged digital citizens and makers of technology who can create a positive impact in the world. Before joining Digital Promise, Deblina worked as associate director of education at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California. Deblina holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Kansas.
