“I learn from the people around me.”
Emily is the Postsecondary Field Research Director with the Learning Sciences Research team. Professionally, Emily hopes her work will help boost the socio-economic mobility of historically excluded populations. In her prior positions, she has enjoyed applying her training through both the “front,” and the “back” ends of research, whether managing a complex portfolio of research and evaluation activities as the Director of Research and Evaluation at Harlem Children’s Zone or implementing randomized control trial evaluations of school-based interventions in early childhood and K-12 educational settings. Emily received her M.S. and Ph.D. in human development and family studies from Pennsylvania State University and her B.S. in psychology from Fordham University.
