John Seylar is a research associate on the Learning Sciences Research team. He uses his knowledge of various software tools to design innovative data collection, analysis, and reporting techniques. John also leverages his writing skills on various proposals, reports, literature reviews, and other works. John’s research focuses on emerging forms of teacher and principal professional development. He is especially interested in how these new opportunities are influenced by technology and active learning. Before he joined Digital Promise, John worked as a test preparation instructor in his hometown in Minnesota. John holds a dual degree in history and government from Claremont McKenna College.
