Kristyn Palazzolo is a Program Associate for Educator Engagement with the Powerful Learning team. Prior to joining Digital Promise, Kristyn taught at the middle and elementary school levels as a library media specialist. In this role, she pushed STEAM initiatives, created digital makerspaces for her students, and led technology-based professional development for the staff. She also had the opportunity to work as the Director of Fun for the nonprofit Engaging Creative Minds’ Summer STEAM Institute, where she implemented engaging learning experiences and environments for students through immersive, arts-integrated STEAM programming. Additionally, Kristyn served as a research associate for Digital Promise’s Learning Sciences Research team on the STEAM Studio Model for Innovation, a project designed to expand access to high-quality computing education for all. She is interested in providing educators and students unique learning experiences where they are engaged and creative in their work. Kristyn holds a B.S. in elementary education from College of Charleston and a M.L.I.S. focused in school library media from the University of Rhode Island. She can be reached at email@example.com.
