Mahsa has more than ten years of research and teaching experience in the field of education, working with academia, government, and non-profit organizations in the US and Canada. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Foundations from University of Montreal with “Excellence” honor. Her research interests include instructional coaching and social and educational development of immigrant-origin children and English Language Learners. She has authored several books, journal articles, and book chapters on these topics. Before joining Digital Promise, she worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the UCLA Paulo Freire Institute and Institute for Immigration, Globalization & Education. Her fellowship was prestigiously awarded by Quebec Research Funds – Society & Culture for outstanding quality and significant scientific potentials.
