Creating STEM-focused schools: STEM programming at Northglenn High School, a school that was in decline, is now attracting the support and attention of students, parents, community members, and area businesses.
Building community engagement programs: The Five Star Leadership Academy provides an opportunity for parents and community members to learn about school district and state education affairs, and create a sense of shared responsibility and partnership.
Improving graduation rates: The district is focused on closing the gap between the graduation rates of minority and non-minority students. Significant academic gains have lead the district to be accredited as a “Performance District” by the state of Colorado.
Providing early college pathways: Five Star Schools is the first in metro Denver to offer early college opportunity through Northglenn High School’s Pathways in Technology Early College High School model.
