Empowering student leaders to usher a district through a digital transformation: “Tiger Techs,” BTSD’s student technology experts, have been instrumental in implementing a one-to-one device rollout through Verizon Innovative Learning Schools project directed by Digital Promise, with students assisting at kick-off events, sharing knowledge with teachers, and teaching younger students about digital citizenship.
Creating a medical learning pathway: Through Project Lead the Way, the district works with Bucks County Community College (BCCC) and Lower Bucks Hospital to offer students the opportunity to earn college credits from BCCC and learning experiences within the hospital including CPR and first aid.
Supporting parents that are English Language Learners: The district provides an ESL learning program for families, where parents may attend classes to learn basic English skills as well as other skills like completing applications for work and housing assistance programs.
