Facilitating global competency for all students: In an effort to develop intercultural understanding and global competency in each student, the district has partnered with the Council on International Educational Exchange to send students to summer abroad programs and increased its capacity to receive foreign exchange students.

Prioritizing student ownership of learning: The district’s vision for a transformation to blended learning, “The Way Forward,” aims to remove all mystery of the learning process for their students and give students ownership and agency over their own learning through immediate feedback, meaningful relationships with educators, and the ability to see and own their progress visually.

Creating opportunities for community involvement: The district engages community organizations annually to help plan initiatives that spur student academic and emotional growth both inside and outside of the classroom. To engage parents, the district hosts parent technology nights and symposiums.
