Empowering students to take agency in their education: The district offers students opportunities to find, explore, and experience their ePathway through articulated programs at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Programs are designed to encourage student interest and to provide opportunities for deeper learning and professional certification.
Working to close the achievement gap: As the brainchild of a small nucleus of African-American public school educators in Seminole County, the Young Men of Excellence Program has worked to increase the graduation rate and college/career readiness of black male students who were considered at-risk for high school drop out due to academic, social-emotional, and attendance concerns.
