Mahsa has more than eight years of research experience in the field of education, working with academia, government, and non-profit organizations across US and Canada. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Foundations from University of Montreal with “Excellence” honor. Her main research area includes factors and dynamics influencing social and educational development of immigrant-origin children and youth. She has authored several books, journal articles, and book chapters on this topic. Before joining Digital Promise, she worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with joint affiliation with UCLA School of Education and McGill University. Her fellowship was prestigiously awarded by the Government of Quebec (Quebec Research Funds – Society & Culture) for outstanding quality and significant research potential.
