Mark Dohn was a technology teacher and coordinator for fifteen years in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). He has an MS in Education Media Design and Technology. Mark’s emphasis is on equity and accessibility in the classroom for students with disabilities as well as at-risk and adjudicated youth. His approach focuses on technology integration, Universal Design for Learning and Inclusive Design to create meaningful learning environments.
Beyond the traditional education environment, Mark has volunteered for the educational nonprofit impossible2Possible (i2P) as Education Coordinator. He was a participant on a ten-day expedition to the Brazilian rainforest to study biodiversity with four youth ambassadors. During the expedition, the team was able to connect live via satellite with over 15,000 students in six countries.
Mark has been honored for his innovative and creative teaching style by Apple Inc. (ADE), LAUSD (Innovation in the Classroom), Computer Using Educators Los Angeles (CUELA Teacher of the Year) and Next Vista for Learning (Distinguished Content Creator).
