Powerful Learning Resources

• Online Learning Resources Library: Users can search resources, tools, and lesson plans to help educators navigate online learning. All of the resources are free and meet student data privacy criteria.
• Resources for Support Learners with Disabilities: A searchable library of special education resources and edtech products for educators. All of the resources are free and meet student data privacy criteria.
• Digital Learning Playbook: Strategies for establishing leadership teams, planning for technology implementation, assessing human infrastructure needs and capacity, and identifying tools and resources for school and home use.
• Micro-credentials: An innovative system that recognizes individuals for the skills they learn throughout their careers.

Powerful Digital Learning through Networks

• League of Innovative Schools: Launched in 2011, the League serves as the core network of districts that engage in Digital Promise’s research and programmatic initiatives, focused on advancing innovative teaching and learning practices and advocating for digital equity with renewed urgency.
• Verizon Innovative Learning Schools (VILS): A collaboration with Verizon to equip students and teachers at select middle and high schools across America with a device and up to a four-year data plan; provide students without reliable home internet access with a mobile hotspot; and offer extensive teacher training and support with the opportunity to engage in a unique, immersive curriculum to leverage technology in their classrooms.
• Edcamp: Powerful Learning at Home: Regional, in-person events where educators engage in professional learning centered on the topics most important to them.
• Maker Learning: A space for educators to discuss their most pressing ideas and challenges related to continuing powerful maker learning experiences in hybrid and remote learning contexts.
• Reinvent the Classroom: A collaboration with HP, Microsoft, and Intel to launch three exciting programs that celebrate powerful teaching and learning with technology—HP Teaching Fellows, HP Spotlight Schools, and Learning Studios.

Powerful Digital Learning through Research

• Learning Sciences Research: Research focused on the why, what, and how of learning in and out of school by partnering with educators to study and design new learning approaches, resources, and policies to make learning better.
• Learner Variability Project: Makes accessible the latest learning sciences research through the free and open-source Learner Variability Navigator, a whole child framework that puts research to work for practitioners and edtech product developers to support all learners.
• Adult Learning: Develops projects to promote social mobility for adult learners through equity-first research, creating and collaborating in networks, and expanding equitable access to digital skills, tools, and credentials.
• The Center for Inclusive Innovation: Reimagining education R&D and supporting communities to engage in equity-centered research and development to change the trajectories of Black, Brown, and Indigenous students.
