(Optional) Pre-Convening Sessions
Monday, April 24, 2-5 p.m. CT

  • Session 1 | Inclusive Innovation Hands-On Workshop: Co-Designing District Solutions with Your Students and Parents: How can inclusive innovation create transformative teaching and learning solutions? Facilitated by Digital Promise’s Center for Inclusive Innovation, this interactive workshop will invite you to bring and discuss a problem of practice that you face in your own work. Learn how the Center for Inclusive Innovation has supported over 40 League districts in addressing challenges by engaging in co-research and design with students, parents, and community partners.
  • Session 2 | Designing Equitable and Inclusive District-wide Computational Thinking Pathways: Does your school district currently offer rigorous computer science (CS) and computational thinking (CT) across K-12? Is broadening access to CS and CT an immediate goal for your district going forward? This session will introduce participants to Digital Promise’s emerging CT Pathways Toolkit and facilitate learning and mentorship from three League districts (including host district Talladega County Schools) on how to cultivate a K-12 culture for computing. Participants will roll up their sleeves and begin to map where computing initiatives already are happening in their districts and how these offerings can connect, forming more cohesive and equitable computing pathways for all students.
